The Official Unofficial Nick Mag Tumblr!
Rugrats Sliding on the Ice. *NEVER FORGET*
An infamous scene from Volume 2, Number 9 of the Rugrats comic book series. An example where final art came in and the editors worried it wasn’t 100% clear what was happening in panel 4. So we added dialog as last minute easy fix. But after shipping, we realized this made the scene way silly (rather than dramatic), since kids probably wouldn’t explain/shout what is happening to you as it’s happening! So “Sliding on the IIICCE!” became a running joke in the Nick Mag offices and is still used lovingly when certain former editors get together.
We’ve all had sliding on the iiicce moments, am I right?
